Friday, May 2nd, 2008God Is In The TV – featuring Glow…
Thursday, April 10th, 2008There’s is an excellent review of Glow at godisinthetvzine.co.uk! Check it out:
Hailing from Bristol via Liverpool and Newport come heart stopping three piece Glow. Inventively splicing together comedown break beats akin to Fourtet dabbling with Aphex Twin – all delicious aching brass, glistening guitar lines that hark back to the work of Ride and hypnotic vocals that sigh and ache and reach, giving warmth to these electronic manoeuvres. Their dynamic structures even bring to mind the work of “Kid A” Radiohead without the all pervading sense of gloom. Instead, they create a hypnotic, heart melting sound that’s simultaneously life affirming and post apocalyptic, the glow on your child’s face after a screaming fit. It should be heard by many more ears than it currently is. Their debut album “I, Yeah” is out now digitally for the bargain price of five English pounds. As for the album supposedly being dead, each song burrows its way into the next with the awe inspiring power and warmth of Spiritualized at their best. The afterglow of creation never sounded so heartening.

Album news and upcoming gigs…
Monday, March 10th, 2008We are pleased to announce that, after a year of hard work, our album is ready for you!
You will be able to download it from our website on 1st April.
It will be available as a set of high quality MP3 files, with a full colour booklet of lyrics and artwork, and the package will be just £5.
(And no, this is not an April Fool! We really have finished it!)
To celebrate this momentous event in the history of mankind, we will be doing a gig that very night at the Louisiana, in Bristol. We’ve hooked up with the excellent Nova Robotics and the fabulous Yes & No, to put on a show of the best music around. These guys are really special, so it promises to be a first class, première league event. Bring as many people as you can possibly think of to this. It’s gonna be a knockout!
Also, this coming Sunday 16th, we’ll be doing a super-rare acoustic show at the Thekla Social, also in Bristol. It’s part of the Under The Influence series, where bands get to spin some of the discs that they love. We’ll be following this up with a set of unplugged reworkings of some of our songs. As we are the least unplugged band we know, this ought to be a laugh, so don’t miss it! Free entry.
If you can’t make it to the Bristol shows, please come along to the Riverside Tavern in Newport on 26th March, where we’ll be playing with the wonderful Thinking With Sand, and Project Serpo, who we love.
Right, see you on Sunday, and mark 1st April in your diary now!
Glow live on BBC 6 Music!
Thursday, February 28th, 2008Some very exciting news for all you Glow fans (and indeed us!)
This Tuesday (4th March) we’re off to London to play LIVE on Tom Robinson’s BBC 6 Music show.
The show goes out between 19:00 – 21:30 and is available on DAB, Freeview/Sky/Virgin and on the web here.
We’ll be in the studio performing some of our favourite tracks. We haven’t decided which yet, although we do have a shortlist, so if there is any track you’d really like to hear, let us know in the comments!
Tom played Your Turn again on his Monday night show and said nice things about it, which was lovely.
Anyway, tune in on Tuesday night to catch us quite possibly destroying perfectly good songs through fear

That’s right, we’re in the middle of recording our first full-length album. It’s shaping up to be very special: we’ve got about 7 or 8 tracks so far, with more on the way.
If you want to find out more about what it will be like and what crazy collection of noises we’re using, subscribe to our album blog via RSS. We’ll be posting updates, little snippets of audio and lots of videos and photos of our time in the studio.
To start you off, there’s an explanatory video, called ‘Introducing’ right at the top of the blog.
